Police appeal for witnesses to hit-and-run crash in Hadlow involving a cyclist and car

A motorist hit a cyclist leaving them with serious injuries before driving off.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the hit-and-run which happened at around 7.35pm on Tuesday, November 24, on the A26 Hadlow Road near its junction with Cuckoo Lane.

The motorist had left the scene before police patrols arrived.

The cyclist was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious hip injury.

Investigating officer PC Thomas Farley said: "We have been making inquiries to identify the driver of the car which is thought to have been a small, silver vehicle.

"I would urge the motorist to contact us at their earliest opportunity and I also am appealing to anybody with dashcam, who may have been in the area at the time, to check for footage that might be able to assist us in this investigation."
