A main road in East Malling has flooded.

Water is covering both sides of New Road, between Chapman Way and Larkspur Road, following a heavy downpour this morning.

Residents have had to seek alternative routes, using Winterfield Lane to access the A20, London Road.

A Kent County Council spokeswoman said the water was a result of heavy rain and confirmed no action will be taken to remove the flooding.

It is expected to go down in the next couple of hours.
