"Unfortunately attending officers found a deceased male at the location.

"His death is not believed to be suspicious".

Southeastern had advised passengers travelling to Maidstone from either Bromley or Ashford to go via Tonbridge and Paddock Wood, and then catch the Medway valley line to Maidstone West.

Buses were also operating between Otford and Sevenoaks and Maidstone East, while a shuttle train service is in service between Maidstone East and Ashford International.

Normal service was resumed just before midday.
