Mercedes driver 'caught speeding at 140mph' on M20 near A228 at West Malling

A motorist has allegedly been caught driving at more than 140mph on the M20 early today.

The Mercedes car is said to have been clocked at double the speed limit of 70mph at about 1.20am.

Officers from the Kent Police roads unit pulled over the vehicle on the London-bound carriageway near J4, close to the A228 at West Malling.

A police spokesman said the motorist has now been summonsed to court on traffic charges.
