Man arrested and charged after Hildenborough burglary

A Man has been arrested and charged in connection with a burglary in Hildenborough.

Police made the arrest following an appeal for witnesses on Wednesday, December 20 after a burglary in Leigh Road on Monday, December 11.

Paul Jones, 50, of no fixed address was arrested in Folkestone on Sunday, December 31 and was remanded to appear by video-link before Canterbury Magistrates Court on Monday, January 1.

Possessions including earrings and a watch were said to have been stolen during a break-in.

It was reported that the intruder was discovered by the victim but left the scene when challenged but then returned to pick up a dropped screwdriver.
