A man has been arrested and safeguarding emails sent to parents after reports of “suspicious activity”.
Several schools have issued a warning, including Holmesdale in Snodland and Aylesford secondary, which was then shared on social media.
It is believed that other schools in the area have done the same.
The email said that a man had allegedly been “approaching young female students, trying to get them into his car”.
It went on to say: “Please ensure you are reminding children of the dangers associated with strangers and encouraging them, where possible, to walk home with others.
“We have also notified staff today so they can be extra vigilant during after-school duty patrols.”
Police have confirmed they are investigating separate reports of suspicious activity between Sunday, December 1 and Tuesday, December 3 in the Yalding area.
It concerns a man in a car who is said to have spoken to two schoolchildren.
A spokesman for the force added: “On Thursday, December 5, officers arrested a local man in his 50s in connection with the incidents.
“He is currently bailed with conditions until Wednesday, March 5, pending the outcome of further inquiries.”
Despite the safeguarding warning being shared by multiple schools, it is understood there have been no further reports of suspicious activity elsewhere.
