Man from Larkfield charged after West Malling High Street hit-and-run

A man has been charged after a hit-and-run incident injured three women in West Malling.

Police ere called to the High Street at about 4pm on Wednesday, March 11, to reports a black Ford Fiesta had failed to stop following a collision with the three women at a pedestrian crossing.

One of the injured trio was taken to a London hospital for treatment for serious injuries and was later discharged.

Another was taken to a local hospital for medical attention while the third was treated at the scene.

The car was later found ditched in a nearby road.

Yesterday, Abie Ianson of Lunsford Lane, Larkfield was arrested and charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, unlawfully taking a vehicle and causing injury during a collision.

He was also charged with driving while disqualified, dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident and driving without insurance.

On top of those charges, officers also charged him with two counts of theft, he is due to appear in court today.
