A man in his 30s has died after a crash between a car and a lorry near Snodland.

It happened just before 9.30am on the A228 in Halling and involved a blue Ford Focus and white Volvo tipper lorry, heading in the opposite direction.

Officers from police's serious collision investigation unit and ambulance crews attended and the driver of the Ford, from Aylesford area, was found dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

The road, which was shut in both directions after the smash, remains closed heading into the evening rush hour.
