A man was reportedly punched and kicked by a group during an assault near a leisure centre.

The alleged attack happened late last night (April 14) in New Hythe Lane, Larkfield.

Police were called to the scene at 10.35pm and were later joined by the ambulance service.

The victim was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Maidstone Hospital.

No weapons were reported seen or used.

A spokesperson for Larkfield Leisure centre said a group of teens approached their facility seeking help after being attacked and chased from the recreation ground above the site.

They added: “Staff immediately provided first aid, contacted emergency services, and stayed with the individuals until the police arrived.

“The centre was closed shortly after, at 11.30pm.”

Inquiries into the incident remain ongoing, with officers going house-to-house and reviewing CCTV.

No arrests have yet been made.
