East Malling released by police following death

A post mortem examination is to take place after a man died following an argument in East Malling.

A suspect in his 40s has been released on bail following the man's death on Monday.

Police were called to a property in Larkspur Close at 6.54pm on Monday where it was reported two men had apparently argued.

Police and ambulance officers attended and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital, where he later died.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of death and a post-mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow.

The force has made a voluntary referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), in relation to Kent Police’s response to the incident.
