There are huge tailbacks on the M20 this morning.

A van has broken down on the carriageway between J4 A228 Castle Way (Leybourne/Snodland) and the M26 (Wrotham).

With one lane of three closed, traffic has backed up to J6 (Maidstone/Blue Bell Hill) - a queue of some six miles.

It is taking around an extra 30 minutes to get through.

Police are not at the scene. The incident is being dealt with by Highways Officers.
