Tony Hudgell meets William the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Westminster Abbey

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were "truly incredible" with Tony Hudgell from Kings Hill when they met him at a carol concert in Westminster Abbey on Wednesday.

So Tweeted Tony's adoptive Mum, Paula Hudgell.

The Royal couple posted a photo of themselves talking to Tony on their Instagram page, where it gained more than 366,000 likes.

Tony, seven, lost both his legs after suffering horrendous abuse from his natural parents as a baby - they were subsequently jailed for 10 years.

But Tony has thrived with his adoptive parents, Paula and Mark Hudgell. He has won everyone's hearts, not only with his bravery and determination to overcome his own adversities, but also in his many charity events in which he has sought to help others, raising more than £1.5 million.

Tony, known by has family as Bear, received a personal invitation to the concert from Catherine, the Duchess Of Cambridge.

The concert will be broadcast on ITV on Christmas Eve at 7.30pm.
