Motorhome alight in Eccles

Firefighters spent almost an hour last night tackling a blaze in a motorhome.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service received a 999 call to an address in Bull Road, Eccles, at 9pm where they found the vehicle well alight.

They responded with two fire engines and used a high-pressure hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.

The fire is believed to have started in the glove compartment and quickly spread throughout the vehicle.

There were no reported injuries.
