A2 reopened after serious crash near Gravesend

A man has been flown to a London hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A2.

Officers were called to the London bound carriageway near Gravesend at 4.55am to reports of a single vehicle crash.

Paramedics attended and a man in his 20s was treated and taken to hospital with serious injuries. His next of kin are aware.

Both carriageways were closed for several hours, but the coastbound side reopened at around 9.30am.

The London bound carriageway reopened just after 1pm.

Anyone with information is urged to contact 999, quoting reference 23-0205. Anyone with dashcam footage who may have been travelling in the area, is also asked to check for relevant footage.
