The helicopter landed in a field off Bush Road and joined crews from the ambulance service, who had been called to help someone at a private address nearby.

Witnesses reported seeing the aircraft, which is based at Rochester Airport, flying over the Medway towns.

Two ambulances and a paramedic car were seen in the village at about 3pm.

An ambulance service spokesman confirmed paramedics were called out but could not provide further details to protect patient confidentiality.
