A man suffered injuries to the head and face in a reported assault over the weekend.

The incident took place in Canal Road, Strood at around 2.30am on Saturday.

A man in his 40s was treated at a local hospital.

Kent Police spokesperson James Walker said: "The man has reported being assaulted and officers are conducting ongoing inquires to establish the full circumstances."
