Man arrested after charity boxes stolen in Rochester burglary

A man has been charged after charity boxes were stolen from a bakery.

The burglary was reported to have happened in the High Street in Rochester between 11pm on August 27 and 12.30am on August 28.

A back door to the bakery was found to have been damaged and left open and charity boxes inside the shop were reported to have been missing along with a stationary box.

Roy William Scott, 36 and of no fixed abode, has been charged with one count of burglary.

He was remanded to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on 21 September.
