A woman has been arrested after a pensioner died in a hit and run in Chatham.
A man in his 70s died following the collision in New Road near its junction with Otway Terrace, at around 10.50pm on Monday.
Police confirmed this morning a woman in her 20s, from the Rochester area, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
She remains in custody as inquiries continue.
