Boy seriously injured after car crashes into Walderslade fence

A child injured in a crash in which a car ploughed into a fence was today serious but stable in hospital.

Police from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses after the four-year-old boy was badly hurt.

It comes after a Kia Carens car was said to have hit the boy then careered into a fence in Wordsworth Close, Walderslade, at around 3pm yesterday.

Witnesses described seeing five to 10 police cars at the scene.

The child was taken to a London hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
