Jack and Mark Dallas deny aggravated burglary in Whyman Avenue, Chatham

Two brothers have been accused of breaking into a near neighbour’s home while armed with a kitchen knife.

Jack and Mark Dallas deny aggravated burglary with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm in Whyman Avenue, Chatham, on January 16 this year.

Jack Dallas, 18, also denies blackmail, making an unwarranted demand for money from Anthony Saunders on the same date.

In separate charges, Jack Dallas denies attempting to commit grievous bodily harm on Sonny Page-Baldwin at Lordswood Bowling Centre in Newton Close, Chatham, on January 11.

He admits having an offensive weapon, a claw hammer, at the time and dangerous driving in a van.

He further admits producing cannabis on January 19.

Jack Dallas and Mark Dallas, 24, both of Whyman Avenue, entered the pleas when they appeared at Maidstone Crown Court by TV link with Elmley Prison.

Judge Philip Statman set a trial date for a two-week period beginning on June 24. They were remanded in custody.
