The eatery already has a branch in Meopham, near Gravesend.

But now it has set its eyes on another location in the former Fleur de The café in Rochester High Street.

The former closed its doors earlier this year after over a decade of serving teas, coffees and freshly baked cakes.

An exact opening date is yet to be revealed but it is expected to begin operating within the next couple of months.

Café Lounge describes itself as a “bright, inviting space filled with fresh vibes and atmosphere that cheers you up”.

Its menu features classic breakfast choices as well as shakshouka, chicken and waffles, and dishes with a Mediterranean twist.

For those with a sweet tooth, it also serves pastries, pancakes and milkshakes.

There are also plenty of savoury plates, from salads to sandwiches, wraps, and burgers.

Social media users have already taken to Instagram to share their excitement over the new café.

One said: “Oh I love the Meopham one, buzzing for this!”

Another added: “Café lounge is so good! A great addition to Rochester high street.”

“Fantastic news – one of our favourite places.”
