Cannabis found growing in Chatham home after cocaine seized from car stopped in Dartford

Cannabis plants have been seized by police after they were found growing in a bedroom at a house in Chatham after cocaine was also found in a car.

Officers stopped a car in Dartford and a later search on the property in Phoenix Mews discovered 27 plants being cultivated.

Police on patrol in Princes Road, Dartford at 8.30pm on Tuesday pulled over a BMW 3-Series car on suspicion of it being driven without insurance or road tax.

But officers reportedly found nine wraps of cocaine, 38 street-ready bags of cannabis inside the vehicle.

The drugs were seized along with two mobile phones and cash which were also reportedly found in the car.

A 43-year-old man from Chatham arrested as part of inquiries has been released pending further investigation.
