Police find £30,000 worth of cannabis after car pulled over on M2 near Gillingham

Police pulled over two cars and uncovered more than £30,000 worth of drugs.

Four men were arrested after the vehicles were stopped on the M2 near Gillingham.

It happened after a suspected exchange of the class B drug in Impton Lane, Chatham, took place on January 31.

Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate carried out an investigation and arrested and charged four men on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cannabis – worth an estimated street value of £31,500 – and money laundering.

There were:

  • Anthony Hills, 29, of Ocean Drive, Gillingham
  • James Howard, 40, of Meresborough Road, Gillingham
  • Ricky Phillip, 31, of Gosling Way, Lambeth
  • Endri Domi, 24, of no fixed address

Howard was also charged with dangerous driving in relation to the events which took place following the suspected exchange of drugs.

He was bailed along with Phillip and Hills to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, March 3.

Domi was remanded in custody to appear on the same date.
