Gillingham hit and run driver smashes into cars

A driver ran off after a car collided with several parked vehicles and ended up resting on top of another car.

Police said there were no injuries following the incident at a street in Gillingham in the early hours of this morning.

A police tweet read: "Driver has made off after colliding with multiple parked vehicles. Luckily nobody hurt but a lot of damage."

The car involved ended up with its rear wheels stuck off the ground.

Kent Police later confirmed they had received a report of a collision in Selbourne Road, Gillingham at around 4.15am.

Officers attended the scene, which involved a number of vehicles, and the road was closed to assist with vehicle recovery.

Enquiries remain ongoing to locate one driver who had left the scene prior to police arrival.
