Candle-lit tribute to coronavirus victims at Rochester Cathedral

A candle-lit tribute has been made at Rochester Cathedral in memory of those who have died from coronavirus in Kent.

The cathedral posted pictures on its Instagram page yesterday, showing Dean Philip Hesketh lighting 1,184 candles arranged in the form of a cross.

The post added: "Tonight, in memory of the 1,184 people who have lost their lives since the announcement of the first death in Kent, on 5 March, Dean Philip lit 1,184 candles. The candles were arranged in the form of a cross, on the floor of the nave. God bless everyone."
