CCTV image released after ‘indecent exposure’ in alleyway by Great Lines Heritage Park, Gillingham

Police investigating reports of an indecent exposure along an alleyway have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to.

Officers were made aware of an incident, near the Great Lines Heritage Park in Gillingham on Tuesday, May 20.

A girl was walking along Brompton Road in the direction of the High Street at around 7pm that evening.

She became aware a man, who was unknown to her, was close by.

The girl turned and entered an alleyway opposite Marlborough Road, where she was approached from behind by the same man.

It is reported he exposed himself.

The man left the scene on foot after a bystander intervened.

Officers attended and initial enquiries were completed, including speaking to witnesses and reviewing CCTV.

Investigators are now able to release an image of a man they wish to speak to, since he may have important information.

Anyone who recognises the man, or who has relevant information to assist the investigation, is urged to come forward.
