Staff at Medway Maritime Hospital working on the front-line during the pandemic are being treated to a fun day out.
Chatham Town FC is opening its doors for a packed programme of activities including a celebrity match, penalty shoot out, pampering sessions and raffles
Club chairman Kevin Hake is hoping to net £100,000 to go towards boosting the wellbeing of the thousands who work at the Gillingham hospital.
Gates open at noon on Sunday, July 4 and the first 500 Medway NHS staff will receive a free goody bag.
Kevin said: "We want to give something back directly to the staff working in Medway, rather than the NHS as a whole where the money might get lost.
"I contacted the trust and we have come up with idea of providing money to improve wellbeing areas where staff can relax.
"Most of us owe something to staff at the hospital, whether it's looking after a sick relative or helping to deliver a baby."
Among the players lined up for the football match are Yung Filly, Jack Fowler, Dan Osborne, Harry Pinero, Zaynqf, Paul Hayes, Marlon Harewood, Bradley Pritchard and Brian Howard.
The event, which is supported by the club's sponsor Bauvill, a Medway City Estate-based construction company, will be held at its ground in Bourneville Avenue.

Cheryl Jones is fundraising officer for The Medway Hospital Charity.
She said: “We are so grateful to Chatham Town and Bauvill for organising what promises to be a fantastic day for my hospital colleagues and their families.
“The past year or so has been a real challenge and I know we are all looking forward to an opportunity to enjoy a fun-filled day with our families.”
