Club chairman Kevin Hake is hoping to net £100,000 to go towards boosting the wellbeing of the thousands who work at the Gillingham hospital.

Gates open at noon on Sunday, July 4 and the first 500 Medway NHS staff will receive a free goody bag.

Kevin said: "We want to give something back directly to the staff working in Medway, rather than the NHS as a whole where the money might get lost.

"I contacted the trust and we have come up with idea of providing money to improve wellbeing areas where staff can relax.

"Most of us owe something to staff at the hospital, whether it's looking after a sick relative or helping to deliver a baby."
