Trains from Medway to Paddock Wood were delayed today.

It comes after reports vandals had thrown rubbish onto the track.

Train company Southeastern later confirmed that wood had blocked the line at Halling.

It tweeted: "The driver of the train who discovered it was able to remove the debris and wood to reopen the line but this meant trains incurred delays."

Passengers said they had been stuck on a train at Cuxton.
