Investigation after arson attack at Jubilee Clips in Gillingham

Fire crews and police were called after an arson attack on a manufacturing business in Gillingham.

The fire was started in the entrance of hose clip manufacturers Jubilee Clips in Owens Way, off Gads Hill, between 8.50pm and 9.15pm yesterday.

Firefighters attended and extinguished the blaze and police are now appealing for information.

Inspector Vanessa Foster, of the Medway Community Safety Unit, said: "We are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen somebody acting suspiciously in the area to contact the appeal line.

"Motorists with dashcam and local residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for footage that may assist the investigation."
