Murder investigation launched as four arrested over death in Westmount Avenue, Chatham

A murder inquiry has been launched following the death of a man in Chatham.

The deceased, who was in his 30s and from the Chatham area, was found injured at a property in Westmount Avenue.

Paramedics were called at about 8.15pm on Saturday, March 16 and he was taken to a London hospital where he died two days later.

A man and a woman in their 30s from Chatham, a woman in her 40s and a man in his 30s from Gravesend were arrested in connection with the death.

Those arrested, all of whom have been released on bail pending further inquiries, and the deceased are known to each other.

Detectives have followed up multiple lines of inquiry into the incident and, following the conclusion of a post mortem examination on Monday they are issuing a public appeal for information to hear from anyone who is yet to speak to them.

Each individual has been released on bail, pending further enquiries, until Monday, April 8.
