It is understood police were also called to the same property yesterday.

The road, which leads to Strood railway station, was closed in both directions while the force respond to the incident, but is now back open.

Earlier, a police spokesman said they had been called over concerns of a man inside a property.

The spokesman added: "The road was closed in both directions while officers to respond to the incident."

However shortly after 6pm it was confirmed by police the man had been placed in the care of medical professionals.
