A man has been arrested after driving the wrong way along a dual carriageway, straight towards a police car.
Police in Medway have tweeted about the incident, which happened on the A228 Wainscott Bypass at 4.15am.
They revealed the driver told them he had not had any alcohol, but a breath test indicated they were over the legal drink-drive limit.
A 47-year-old man from Gravesend was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.
He remains in custody
It was the second arrest for the Medway division of the force.
At 10.15pm on Saturday, a Volvo collided into a bush in West Street, Cliffe, Rochester.
The driver, 31, from Rochester was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs and in connection with the possession of cannabis and cocaine.
He too remains in custody.
