The 18-year-old was part of an investigation after officers from Kent and the Met identified a drugs line operating in Gillingham.

Fakehinde was linked to a particular phone number identified. On it were messages about the supply of cocaine and heroin.

Police also had CCTV of the drug dealer purchasing credit for the mobile.

Fakehinde pleaded guilty to two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and was sentenced to three years and three months at a young offenders' institution during a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday.

Investigating officer DC Mark Donovan said: "The supply of cocaine and heroin destroys lives and has a wider impact on local communities too.

"We are relentlessly pursuing criminals who exploit vulnerable people and will continue to work with our neighbouring forces to locate and arrest those intent on causing harm.

"I hope this jail sentence is a warning to other people who plan to travel into Kent to sell drugs and I hope that Fakehinde learns from this and makes better choices in the future."
