Drug dealer Kenvill Weekes jailed after officers called to Rochester

A drug dealer has been jailed for four years, following a tip-off from the public.

Officers were called to Jenner Road, Rochester, on Wednesday, January 25, to reports of drug dealing.

Kenvill Weekes, 53, of Manchester Road, Isle of Dogs, was arrested at the scene and after a search he was found to have been concealing 13 individual wraps of heroin and three wraps of crack cocaine.

His mobile phone contained text messages referencing drugs and he was charged the day after his arrest.

Weekes was jailed for four years at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday for possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine.

Investigating officer, PC Craig Hewitt said: “Weekes’ sentencing reinforces how important it is for members of the public to be vigilant and to ensure they report any suspicious activity they see taking place.

“Weekes has been taken off the streets stopping him from supplying drugs targeting vulnerable and helping to ruin the lives of those who were buying from him and their families.”
