Firefighters called to car fire just before M2 Medway motorway bridge

Firefighters were called to the M2 Medway motorway bridge this afternoon after reports a car had caught fire.

Two crews were called at 12.37pm to the M2 coastbound at J2 for Strood and Cuxton.

It is thought smoke was coming from under the bonnet of the Toyota hatchback.

Firefighters left the scene just before 1pm.
