Fourth person arrested in murder probe after man stabbed at house in Castle Road, Chatham

A fourth person has been arrested as part of a murder investigation after a man was stabbed.

The emergency services were called to Castle Road in Chatham following reports of a serious attack at a private address shortly after 10am on Saturday (November 1).

A man in his 40s was treated at the scene for his injuries but died while being helped by the paramedics.

An investigation was launched, and initially, a 45-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident, but she has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

Yesterday (November 3), a 40-year-old man and a 41-year-old man were also arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody.

Today (November 4), police revealed they had also apprehended a fourth person yesterday in connection with the incident, a 51-year-old man.

All four people were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police officers are still at the scene, which was cordoned off at the junctions with Victoria Road and Listmas Road.

Officers are continuing to appeal to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police, asking them to contact the force.

Residents with private CCTV and motorists with dashcams are also asked to check for relevant footage.
