The new warship cut through the estuary at The Strand and headed up the River Medway towards Chatham.

She is moving to her home for the week in the basin along Maritime Way, Chatham.
This is just the beginning of naval activities, later this week the ship will be brought into service.
In a ceremony this Thursday, HMS Medway will be officially launched and ready for active duty on patrol missions around the globe.
