Land Rover crashed into shop in Gillingham police chase

Two men have been arrested after a 4X4 crashed into a shop, damaging a window, in a police chase.

The vehicle, which is thought to have been stolen, was seen by police in London Road, Rainham at about 12.20pm today.

A 34-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, both from Chatham, were arrested following the collision and are currently in custody on suspicion of theft and driving offences.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the Land Rover Freelander at any point prior to the incident, which caused damage to the window of the Oasis Plumbing & Bathroom store on Rainham Road.

No-one was seriously injured.
