A man was arrested after painting a BB gun to look like a firearm.

Police were called to reports of a person behaving “suspiciously” with a weapon in Dynamo Way in Gillingham on Sunday (January 19) shortly before 4.30pm.

Officers arrived at the scene and conducted a search where they found a BB gun.

A 34-year-old was later arrested.

He was taken into custody and given a conditional caution.
