Suspected car thief arrested after pursuit with police.

A 33-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested on suspicion of stealing a car in Medway.

Officers spotted the vehicle in the Richmond Road area, Gillingham, at around 7.55pm on Saturday.

He made off but was brought to a stop in Boundary Road, Chatham, where damage was caused to parked vehicles and a police car.

No injuries were reported and he remains in custody.
