Man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after woman dies in Livingstone Road, Gillingham

A man has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter after the death of a woman in Gillingham.

Police were called to Livingstone Road just after 7pm on Friday after reports a woman had died.

A 46-year-old man from Gillingham has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and supplying a controlled drug.

Police revealed a man had been arrested yesterday, after officers were called to the one-way street after a woman had fallen ill.

Her next of kin have been informed and she has been named locally as a woman called Michelle.

Forensic vans were spotted at the scene yesterday.

Inquiries into the woman's death are ongoing.

The man has been bailed until Tuesday, May 2.
