Man arrested and another in hospital after stabbing in the Tideway, Rochester

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing in Rochester.

Police were called at 6.37pm yesterday to an address in the Tideway, where a man was assaulted in an area near the entrance to some flats.

Officers and ambulance crews attended and the victim, aged in his 20s, was taken to a London hospital.

He remains in a stable condition and the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police arrested a 19-year-old man from Rochester on suspicion of attempted murder at around 4am today.

The suspect and victim are known to each other.

A 54-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
