Chatham man charged after more than 300 nuisance calls made to ambulance service

Police have charged a man after the ambulance service received hundreds of nuisance calls.

Investigators looking into reports the calls were made to the 999 service within the last year, charged a man from Chatham.

Steven Holder of Snodhurst Avenue was charged with persistently calling the emergency services for the purpose of causing inconvenience and breach of a community protection notice.

A notice was issued on Monday, January 6 and since then, it is reported a further 54 calls were made to the ambulance, and seven to Kent Police.

The 62-year-old was released on bail to appear at Medway Magistrates' on Tuesday, April 14.
