Darren Donnelly in court over Chatham robbery and Longfield burglary

A man is due to appear in court today in connection with a robbery and burglary.

Thamesmead resident Darren Donnelly was arrested following a raid in Chatham and a break-in in Longfield earlier this year.

Police were called to a report of a robbery at 3.30pm on Tuesday, July 2, at an address in Star Mill Lane, Chatham.

A man and a woman were allegedly assaulted and a phone and vehicle stolen from the property.

The vehicle was then said to have been used in a burglary in Nuthach, New Barn, Longfield, the same afternoon.

Donnelly, 44, was arrested yesterday and charged with robbery, burglary, two counts of assault and possession of a sharp pointed article in a public place.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, October 15.

At the hearing, he was further remanded in custody until Tuesday, November 12, when he will appear at Maidstone Crown Court.
