A motorist found an unusual place to leave his car - the middle of a roundabout.

The man was taken to hospital after crashing the motor there this morning.

It happened at the roundabout on the Wainscott bypass at the bottom of Four Elms Hill, near Chattenden.

A Medway Police spokesman said: "Officers were called to Four Elms Hill roundabout just before 10.30am following reports of a single car road traffic collision.

"A man driving the car suffered injuries which are not thought to be life threatening and he was taken to the Medway Maritime Hospital."
