Man killed in Mercedes crash on A2 Watling Street

A man has died after his Mercedes overturned in the early hours of this morning.

The victim, aged in his 30s and from Gravesend, was declared dead at the scene of the accident which happened at 2.30am on the A2 Watling Street by The Three Crutches Roundabout.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the silver Mercedes C220 in the moments before the collision or may have dash-cam footage.

The man's next of kin have been informed.

All roads had reopened by 10am.

Lee Buckinham, who lives on Sharfleet Drive, which backs onto the roundabout was woken up by the emergency services, whilst his son heard a bang.

"There must have been 20 cars out there," He said.

"We were up because there were lights. I would say there were there from 2am until recently"
