Prosecutor Barney Nickolls claimed the 24-year-old sped through Iwade, Bobbing and Newington and over the Sheppey Crossing to Sheerness, in a Mercedes car after being approached by a police officer in April.

It was also claimed he was doing more than 100mph at times, running red lights and driving on the wrong side of the road.

Hassan, who denies being behind the wheel, was released on unconditional bail and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday, February 5.
