Man airlifted to hospital after being slashed in face in attack in Luton Road, Chatham

A man was airlifted to hospital after being slashed in the face yesterday evening.

Police and paramedics were called to Luton Road, Chatham, at around 5pm after reports of a knife attack.

The victim was treated at the scene before being flown to King's College Hospital, London.

The injury is not reported to be life threatening.

Spokesman for the police James Walker said: "At present inquiries into the incident remain ongoing and no arrests have been made."
