Arrests after stabbing at Chatham Hill, Chatham

Two men have been arrested after a man was injured in a suspected stabbing yesterday afternoon.

Police were called at 1.55pm on Easter Sunday to reports of an assault at Chatham Hill, Chatham.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital where officers say he was treated for injuries consistent with stab wounds.

Two men, both aged 22, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remain in custody.

Neighbours had reported the road being closed in both directions, near the junction of Upper Luton Road, with police forensics and sniffer dogs at the scene.

Police say the investigation into the incident remains ongoing and officers are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage to call 01634 792209, quoting reference 46/65500/25.
