A man was taken to hospital with multiple injuries following an alleged hit-and-run.
The victim was said to have been driving in New Road, Chatham, when his car was involved in a crash with a Nissan Note on Sunday (February 16).
As he got out of his vehicle it is alleged the other motorist travelled forward and struck him before fleeing the scene.
The victim was later taken to the hospital with multiple injuries.
The police launched an investigation and arrested a suspect yesterday (February 17).
Jahmel Corbin, of no fixed address, was later charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, causing serious injury by driving dangerously, failing to stop after a collision, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence and no insurance.
The 37-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (February 18).
His next hearing will be at Maidstone Crown Court on March 17.
